YouTube seems to have started rolling out a new Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode for the web version of the video sharing platform which was first spotted back in March this year. The new feature allows users to minimize the videos into a miniplayer by clicking on a new button that can be found next to the full-screen and cinema mode buttons.
The YouTube PiP mode for web allows users to continue watching the video while browsing for other videos, as long as they remain on the platform. The miniplayer also offers full control of the video and has a dedicated button which allows users to open the entire playlist within the miniplayer. As of now, the company has released no information regarding the rollout.
